Chief of Staff / House Manager - UHNW Family, London!

We are looking for a meticulous Chief of Staff/House Manager to spearhead the running of our client’s beautiful estates. A wonderful opportunity for a Household Manager to work as a key, pivotal member for the family! The role offers broad scope, autonomy and the opportunity to define and expand the role, in this varied position you will be at the helm, the main control point, for the Principals. 

Responsibilities will vary from management of household staff to overseeing / managing estates and big renovations therefore a committed ‘hands-on’ approach and being able to lead a team will be essential.  We are looking for a discreet, professional and committed Household Manager with a creative flair for problem solving.

Responsibilities include but not limited to: 

  • Complete oversight and management of high-end private home and other properties for UHNW Family; ensuring consistency of standards, procedures, and services
  • Main contact person for the Principal, the family, suppliers and various external companies 
  • Managing and overseeing the post construction and renovation project (managing subcontractors and suppliers) 
  • Overseeing, sourcing and coordinating a team of contractors, including interior designers, project managers and contractors
  • Prepare and execute budget for household and renovation expenses
  • Managing and liaising with household staff, property maintenance, and dealing with general household enquiries
  • Communicating with external companies (pool maintenance, gardeners, construction companies) and managing their work
  • Organising and/or participation in events
  • To manage and monitor household inventories 
  • Ensuring the smooth and seamless running of the property on a daily basis 
  • Providing concierge services, arranging of arrivals, logistics management etc. 
  • Ensuring that all household and building insurance is up-to-date and documents kept on file
  • Drafting and/or managing works lists, quotations; ensuring high quality of works; and closing projects 

What we are looking for: 

  • Must have strong track record of Experience as an Estate Manager on behalf of HNW or UHNW Families 
  • Impeccable communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willing to travel at short notice 
  • Sound knowledge of groundskeeping management and operations
  • Able to work independently and under pressure
  • Positive attitude, excellent organisation skills 
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Having a strong leadership style
  • Discreet and trustworthy
