Facilities / Operations Manager - Leading London Property Firm, North London

Our client, a family run, highly successful Property Investment and Management company, is looking for an Operations Manager to join their North London based team. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery of day-to-day operations for the Property Management arm of the business whilst having a broader awareness and responsibility to bring together both the Investment and Development sides of the company. 

We are looking for a personable and efficient problem solver who is a strong communicator and possesses a can-do attitude. Flexibility to the changing needs of a smaller business is essential as you will need to muck in wherever needed. Working both as part of a small team and autonomously will be vital for this role hence you must be able to juggle multiple tasks at once.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Advising the Senior Leadership team on strategic decisions regarding Property Management, understanding company structure and group companies
  • Overseeing the smooth running of 400 strong property portfolio
  • Proactive and regular property visits and inspections, pre-empting problems
  • Conducting and participating in daily meetings, setting team daily tasks
  • Managing client relationships with landlords, tenants and potential investors
  • Troubleshooting all issues, updating maintenance team on statement of works
  • Keeping on top of all legal and compliance requirements and management of processes including Health and Safety policies
  • Developing new operations policies and procedures
  • Marketing and communications both external and internal
  • Dealing effectively with all Insurance Claims
  • Dealing with Rent Arrears, Exit Strategy, Legal Documentation

 What we are looking for:

  • Property Management / Facilities / Hotel experience ideally in a similar small company environment
  • UK Drivers licence and own car essential for property visits
  • Self-starter looking to progress into an Operational Management role
  • Impeccable organisational and communication skills 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and hands-on environment
  • Confident to work independently and make decisions quickly to deadlines
  • Strong ability to multitask and prioritise
  • Pay meticulous attention to detail with costs and timelines
  • Ability to push back on decision makers for the betterment of the company
  • Previous working knowledge of property databases helpful
