A splendid opportunity to join a vibrant and growing Political Consultancy as an Operations Assistant supporting the Operations Manager and the rest of the Senior Management Team to ensure that administrative tasks and business functions are completed effectively and efficiently. Currently composed of 16 people albeit the team is growing exponentially; we are looking for an Operations Assistant who will play a critical role in the smooth sailing of the team and the day-to-day running of the office. The ideal Operations Assistant will possess panache whilst displaying a positive ‘muck in’ attitude at all times.  


  • Assisting with recruitment and onboarding processes 
  • Diary management, scheduling meetings and room bookings 
  • Minute taking and reporting on actions of meetings 
  • Invoicing and maintenance of internal financial sheets 
  • Processing monthly team expenses using accounting software 
  • Provide general administrative support to Senior Management Team 
  • Maintaining stock of office supplies 
  • Event planning and management 
  • Email support for Senior Management Team 
  • Assisting with conducting monthly internal audits 
  • Ad hoc project support to the wider teams
  • Undertaking research tasks when needed 
  • Assist with maintenance of staff handbook, review, and update policy documents 
  • Ability to contribute to client meetings and ensure that they are productive and clearly documented with action points and timeframes 
  • A working knowledge of the main social media networks and platforms for business and political campaigns (at present, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube) 
  • Taking responsibility for preparing thorough and timely handover notes when going on holiday, and communicating them clearly to relevant team members 
  • Organise and facilitate networking events for the team 

What we are looking for: 

  • Ideally 2+ years in a similar operational/administrative role 
  • Well organised and ability to coordinate multiple activities at once
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Meticulous attention to detail 
  • Effectively managing own time and priorities 
  • Commitment to innovation and creative problem solving 
  • Strong commercial awareness, including the ability to negotiate with suppliers 
  • Enthusiasm to learn and develop new skills, competencies and capabilities 
  • Proactivity in helping other team members to succeed
  • Desire to be a key team player 
  • Comfortable working autonomously 
  • Ideally an understanding of the British political landscape, including the UK Parliament and media landscape 
  • Sound knowledge of Google Docs and MS Office
