Head of Workplace & Operations - Global Business Intelligence Firm, City

Vacancy Description:

We are partnering with a global leader in business intelligence, with 300 employees based at its London headquarters, to hire a Head of Workplace & Operations.

This newly created senior role offers high visibility and real influence. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will lead a team of 3 support members and take ownership of both the day-to-day running and long-term development of the company’s offices. Responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee the maintenance and operational effectiveness of the company’s network of global offices (UK, US and Asia)
  • Lead office moves, refurbishments, and capital expenditure projects
  • Partner with the CFO to set and manage budgets for facilities and office services, monitoring progress on a regular basis and working to adjust in-year plans to meet agreed targets
  • Drive operational improvements, including supplier negotiations, risk management, and business continuity planning
  • Oversee office services – from supplies, layouts, and IT coordination to the seamless delivery of company events, training sessions, and social initiatives
  • Provide leadership and mentoring; creating a cohesive, customer-focused team that supports executives
  • Champion workplace culture, ensuring both staff and visitors receive exceptional service and a positive day-to-day experience

What We’re Looking For:

  • Senior experience in office or operations management within a global business of at least 300-500 people
  • Proven success managing office moves or launches
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the gravitas to work alongside senior stakeholders
  • Commercial acumen and budget management expertise
  • Energy, intuition, and a proactive approach – someone who enjoys being hands-on.
  • Working knowledge of health & safety (IOSH or NEBOSH desirable)
  • Proficiency with MS Office and collaboration platforms (Teams, Google Meet)
