Accounts Assistant - Creative Agency, Central London

A dynamic, fast-growing creative agency is seeking a highly organised and detail-driven Accounts Assistant to join its London team. Supporting both the production and finance functions, this role plays a key part in keeping daily operations running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, post, and issue client invoices accurately and promptly
  • Handle client queries relating to invoices and payments 
  • Complete client forms and customer portal setups in partnership
  • Provide daily updates on payments received and weekly updates
  • Work closely with production to ensure timely invoicing, including leading weekly review meetings, setting the agenda, and issuing follow-up actions
  • Perform weekly supplier statement reconciliations and prepare payment runs with remittance advices
  • Create and send recharge invoices for expenses, maintaining accurate trackers (with support from the Finance Manager)
  • Prepare quarterly statements and raise any concerns or proposals for resolution
  • Manage studio budgets and expenditure, processing invoices and maintaining clear records
  • Assist with monthly budget projections and reconciliations across the London team
  • Support the introduction of new processes and cost-saving initiatives
  • Liaise with IT to maintain smooth studio operations, overseeing software updates, security, and password management, ensuring spend aligns with business priorities
  • Build strong, professional relationships with artists, clients, and suppliers

What we are looking for:

  • Experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar finance role
  • Background in production finance or artist management finance is advantageous
  • Sound understanding of basic accounting principles
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Confident communication and stakeholder-management abilities
  • Proactive attitude with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with QuickBooks; familiarity with ApprovalMax is beneficial
