Our client is a well-established London based talent agency representing leading creative talent across the UK and US. We are seeking a Head of Accounts & Operations to join the team on a maternity cover contract for 12 months (with potential to become permanent).

This hands-on role oversees both financial management and day-to-day operations, offering genuine ownership and variety. You will work closely with internal teams, agents, clients, and external partners.
We are looking for a highly organised, proactive professional, comfortable managing both detailed finance tasks and broader operational responsibilities.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Revenue invoicing, tracking, and processing of client, staff, and supplier payments
- Accounts payable and receivable management
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
- Bank and credit card reconciliations
- Month-end and year-end close processes
- Preparation of P&L, balance sheet, commission reports, and financial reporting
- Annual budgeting, forecasting, and agent projections
- Preparation of year-end agent bonuses using agency formulas
- Payroll administration and employee expenses
- VAT and Corporation Tax support alongside external accountants
- Monitoring exchange rates and handling currency conversions
- Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring regulatory compliance
- Day-to-day operational and business support
- Liaising with accountants, banks, and suppliers
- Processing agent expenses and expense reports
What we are looking for:
- 3 years’ experience in a mid-to-senior finance or accounts role
- Proven experience using Xero or similar accounting software
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Operational experience highly desirable
- Entry-level AAT, IAB, or related bookkeeping qualification is an advantage
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical ability
- Confident communicator with a collaborative, team-focused approach
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Proactive, hands-on and comfortable with ownership of a broad remit
