Finance Manager - Creative Agency & Artist Representation, Central London

A highly regarded creative agency and artist representation business is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead and develop its finance function across multiple international offices.
A hands-on role for a commercially minded finance professional who thrives in fast-moving, creative environments and enjoys balancing strategic thinking with operational delivery. The successful candidate will partner closely with senior leadership, providing insight, structure, and clarity as the business continues to grow globally.
You will be responsible for end-to-end financial oversight, reporting, and process improvement across UK and international entities. Working closely with leadership and creative teams, you will bring financial rigour, transparency, and forward-thinking solutions to a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare year-end accounts, including P&L and balance sheet duties (accruals, prepayments, intercompany reconciliations).
- Produce and analyse monthly management accounts, including production profitability and artist earnings.
- Create, manage, and refine annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
- Manage multi-currency cash flow and international entity reporting.
- Oversee quarterly VAT returns and statutory compliance across entities.
- Liaise with external bookkeepers, auditors, and professional advisors.
- Produce and communicate artist statements, maintaining strong financial relationships.
- Provide financial insight to leadership, agents, and production teams to inform strategic decisions.
- Negotiate supplier terms, retainers, and commercial agreements.
- Oversee payroll and HR administration alongside core finance responsibilities.
- Lead insurance renewals and manage risk from a financial perspective.
- Line manage and develop a junior finance team member.
- Review and optimise financial processes, identifying opportunities for automation and AI-led efficiencies.
- Chair regular finance performance meetings and report on key insights with a solutions-focused approach.
- Develop and track KPIs to support team and business performance.
- Review commission and bonus frameworks to support transparency and sustainability.
- Lead the integration of overseas finance operations with UK processes and reporting.
- Act as a strategic finance partner to senior leadership, contributing to long-term planning and growth.
What we are looking for:
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (or equivalent) is preferred.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in a Finance Manager or senior finance role.
- Experience in creative industries, production, media, or artist representation is highly desirable.
- Strong technical accounting and financial analysis skills.
- Confident managing multi-currency and international structures.
- Commercially minded with the ability to influence, improve processes, and manage change.
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and creative businesses.
